Physical Description :
After years of building massive art installations on the playa, the Iron Monkeys are doing something a little different this year. We're forging a large frame shaped like our logo and packing it full of smaller, art pieces. The finishing touch? A sign hanging on it that reads: "Back in 30 Minutes." Consider it our way of answering the inevitable "Where's the art?" question before it's even asked. Because even when we're technically taking a break, idle hands and all that jazz... we just can't stop creating.
What is the philosophy of your piece?
It's fun for us and we think people that know us will also get joy from it

The Artists
Founded in 2006 The Iron Monkeys are a Seattle-based blacksmithing and metalworking collective dedicated to creating art that fosters community and connection. Using traditional methods and modern tools the collective creates community gathering spaces out of fire and steel.
Their work has been displayed at Burning Man, 360 (Gerlach, NV), Critical Northwest, Seacompression, BIA/S, and other local events. Permanent installations at Rainier Vista Park (Seattle, WA), and Whitaker Park (Reno, NV).
